1 tsp Cumin/Jeera seeds
1 inch Ginger, finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Soak moong daal in water water for 1-2 hours.
To this add all the ingredients usuing as little water as possible.
Make small balls and press them little.
Deep fry them in oil.
Fry them in medium flame till they turn golden brown.
Serve them hot with tomato sauce or any chutney.

Hi Sia,,,Thanks a lot for posting this recipe.I made these vadas today and it tastes delicious.
Hi Sia,
My compliments on a lovely and helpful blog! Last time I had tried your Mangalore Aloo Bonda recipe at a get together and it was a grand success. The Moong dal vada recipe sounds fantastic and want to try it out.
I have a question though...
if I make it a day before, what is the best way to reheat it before serving? Microwave, normal oven or deep fry again? Any ideas?

hi Sia,
in the method , it's not specified whether water from moong dal needs to be drained or not ?
Should moong dal be then grinded ?
and then mixed with rest of ingridents?
thanks
