Roasted Pickle Spices
My first batch of winter pickling is done! Soon I’ll be posting the spicy, vibrant and lip-smacking pickle recipe for all pickle lovers. But today I am sharing the photos of spices used in making this fiery pickle. This Pickle Masala are my entry for dear Susan’s Black and White Wednesday, a unique culinary food photography event.

I don't know which one is my favorite. Fortunately, I don't need to choose: I can admire both!
These photos make me swoon, Sia. You've caught the textures of spices just right. Is that kalonji in lower right jar? Very mysterious. Thanks for your BWW images!
Thank you all!
Susan, You guessed it right. It's Kalonji.
